Is the Freedom Boat Club really worth it?

So, I have been told that they are changing the policies at the Freedom Boat Club. They are now taking away the full day weekend reservations and changing it over to 1/2 day reservations. This means that if I want to take a boat out for a full day, I have to kill both my reservations. How do my fellow Freedom Boat Clubbers feel about this change?

I do not view half day reservations as a negative because it applies to all members. They have been using the half day reservations in Boston and other newer club locations and it created more availability. A morning reservation can be 7 a.m. to 2 pm (or later) which is a long 6-8 hour day on the water. Finally, most fellow members that book a full day are only our for 4-5 hours.

Using half days I know some Boston FBC members that were on the water 40-50 "days" this season!

I hope that helps.

I don't think it's a bad thing. I can still get out for a full day on the weekend and then check in for the second day. Just about every time I end up getting out there for the second day as well. I like the policy because it frees up a lot of boats from those members that say they are going to take a boat out, and then never show. I think it's a good move.
